Guarantor for Canadian Passport

SERVICES

Canadian Passport Guarantor & Travel Documents

If you don't have a guarantor for an IRCC passport application or travel documents, you are required to complete a "Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor" form with a Notary Public or a Lawyer. This form is used to verify your identity when you don't have an eligible passport guarantor who can confirm your identity.

We are authorized to notarize such “Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor” forms.

  • Provide Additional Identification Documents

You will be asked to provide two identification documents to support your application. These could include your birth certificate, driver's license, or other government-issued identification.

  • Follow the Application Process

Complete the passport application form and gather all necessary supporting documents, including your photos and payment for the passport fee. Make sure to carefully follow the instructions provided by Passport Canada to avoid any delays or complications in the application process.

  • Submit Your Application

Once your application is complete, submit it by mail or in person at a Passport Canada office or Service Canada location. If you're applying from outside Canada, you may need to submit your application through a Canadian embassy, consulate, or high commission.

  • Wait for Processing

Passport processing times can vary, so be prepared to wait several weeks for your application to be processed. You can check the status of your application online using the tracking number provided when you submitted your application.
